It is with great sadness the AIACC reports the death of Los Angeles-based architect Austin Kelly, AIA.

Kelly who was 49, passed away on April 12 as a result of a brief illness. Kelly, co-founding principle of the firm XTEN, received several awards and accolades for their innovative design, such as the Surf House.
